A Smell of Salt in the Air
Actually, considering my hotel is near the airport rather than close to Tampa Bay, I think all I'm smelling is jet fumes.
Work has gone OK this week. A two-day conference just wrapped up and then saturday we have a day of meetings with other people.
These weekend trips are OK, I guess, but we typocally use "conference" hotels, so we're near the airport or way out in the suburbs...what I need, of course, is to be right downtown. But considering I'm supposed to give a presentation in the morning, it's probably best I stay in. Which I'm doing. Reviewing my notes. Ironing my shirt. Touching myself inappropriately. Things of that nature.
The weather's been nice, typically Florida springtime. Sunday, as I go home, a winter storm is supposed to hit DC. Lovely. I just hope I get home. Because of course, it is Oscar night. Since I am not flying Jet Blue, I don't expect to be stuck in a plane on a runway for 9 hours. Knock on wood.
Saturday after outr meetings I'm driving across the state to Melbourne to meet up with Albert, whom I've known online for a year and a half but never actually met. Angelo met him last year when he was down here but I have yet to. So YAY for finally meeting Albert!!

You have a problem with Jet Blue? I hear they are like the best airline ever. Besides, I want to watch the Oscars while I'm in flight. Hopefully the storm will hold off until after you are home and I am on my way out west.
im OK because im in OK, lol. my family's friend had their entire trip to Saudi delayed because of the big late night storm.
