I Knew Better...
...than to listen to the President's address on Iraq tonight. I should have just read the transcript later, my original plan. As it is, I'm yelling back at the TV. Damn it all anyway.
Did anyone else get the sense he was setting requirements for the Iraqi government that they will have trouble meeting, giving him the opportunity to bail out in a few months and say "hey, we gave them a chance?"

Usually, I'm extremely irritated by people who yell at the tv (hence my general avoidance of sports bars during local or big games, especially football). The yelling you did last night though? That is some yelling I would love to have heard.
I have no doubt that someone in a position to bring about real change in our foreign relations policies will one day listen very closely when you yell back at the tv, Will. I also have no doubt that it will be at least 2009 before that happens. :-(
Hang tough everyone. It's going to be a particularly bumpy ride for the next two years.
