Something in the Water
Back from Seattle. Long weekend. The work part went really well but socially it was a bust. We were staying in the suburbs and according to the desk clerk a cab down to Capitol Hill last night would have run me $20-30 each way. That's just too much to pay for going out alone, plus I had to get up at 4:30am today anyway (my boss was a little paranoid about catching the plane) so I never did go out.
And then I get home today and I have an e-mail from a Seattle person I'd written to...he'd written me back yesterday evening and was up for going out, but alas, I hadn't given him my cell number and I wasn't in a position to check e-mail yesterday. Dammit.
